The Australian wine industry has seen exports drop in volume and value for the second consecutive month.
Figures from the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation (AWBC) for 12 months to the end of April 2008 showed exports dropped 8.5% to 730 million tonnes.
There was also a 33% fall in bulk shipments and a 41% drop in soft-packs exported.
Value of exports during this 12-month period declined by 4% to $2.81 billion (1.35bn).
The UK remained Australia's most ardent fan in the export market buying 275 million litres of wine at a value of $921m (442m).
