Oatley Wines has invested AUS$10 million in new winemaking facilities at Mugdee, New South Wales.
The company's Montrose Winery, which produces the recognised Wild Oats and Robert Oatley brands, now has a state-of-the-art bottling line, purpose built bottling and storage building and new winemaking facility.
It covers over 4000 square metres and will employ more than 40 local workers over the peak vintage period.
Bob Oatley, company founder, said: "It's been a terrific year for our wine business. We now have an outstanding winery here at Montrose, with state of the art winemaking facilities; extensive vineyard holdings across the region showing enormous potential.
"The sales team now covers the eastern seaboard and have achieved amazing results; and support for our new brands in today's crowded market place, has been remarkable."
Executive chairman Sandy Oatley said the new facilities would allow the winery to bottle in the gentlest possible manner while still preserving a high degree of quality.
