France: Ghislain de Montgolfier will be replaced by Bollinger's newly appointed md Jrme Philipon in 2008
Champagne Bollinger has announced that in 2008 Ghislain de Montgolfier will be stepping down from the head of the house, to be replaced by the newly appointed managing director, Jrme Philipon.
The move will allow Montgolifier, who was elected President of the Union des Maisons de Champagne in March 2007, to give more time to Champagne's 'Interprofessional' body.
Until Philipon takes hold of the reigns he will be responsible for business development at Champagne Bollinger. The company says this transitional period will allow Philipon to assume full responsibility in 2008 when his strong managerial skills will be supported by the core values of the Bollinger family.
Philipon, joined the Bollinger managerial team on 3 September 2007.
Aged 45 and a native of Champagne, he has extensive experience in the international food and drinks industry and benefits from ENSIA (Ecole suprieure des industries agricoles et alimentaires) and MBA/ESSEC degrees.
Following eleven years within the marketing and commercial departments of the Nestl Group based in France, UK and Asia, Philipon moved to the Coca-Cola Company where he spent nine years as managing director of various businesses within the group, both in Europe and Asia.
