Vodka giant looks for buyer

RUSSIA: The country's best-selling vodka has been put up for sale and could attract bids from drinks giants including Diageo and Pernod Ricard.

Russian Alcohol, the maker of Green Mark vodka, could be sold for as much as $600 million (303m) after its owners, Industrial Investors, put the company up for sale.

Russian Alcohol employs 3,200 people and has five factories in Russia, Siberia and Georgia.

Its biggest vodka brand Green Mark is Russia's biggest market with 7% of the domestic market and is reportedly the third brand in the world after Smirnoff and Absolut.
