Vinexpo opens

Vinexpo has been officially opened by the Mayor of Bordeaux
Alain Jupp, who is also minister of state, opened the 14th international exhibition in Bordeaux along with Christine Legarde, minister for agriculture and fisheries.
Visitors to Vinexpo 2007 flocked to the international exhibition along the world's longest floating bridge that links the conference and exhibition halls across the vast lake at the centre of Bordeaux Parc des Expositions.
The bridge with its floating red carpet will link visitors from the prestige Club de Lac, a new air-conditioned pavilion for major global brands to the conference and marketers halls during the five-day exhibition.
Vinexpo is expected to attract around 50,000 visitors from 144 countries.
