Simon Rogan is planning a less-pricey version of his Lake District restaurant L'Enclume, in a bid to subsidise his highly rated Cumbrian site at the fine dining level.
Rogan's new restaurant, in Henley-on-Thames, will open next year, after a hotel and restaurant have been knocked through to create 40 covers. There will also be 17 rooms upstairs, a room with the potential for 30 covers private dining, and a Champagne bar.
Rogan, who is currently holidaying overseas, was not available for comment.
