Published:  23 July, 2008

The opening of the Winemakers' Federation of Australia's National Wine Centre in Adelaide has been described as "one of the most significant events in the recent history of the Australian wine industry". "The National Wine Centre is the face of the modern Australian wine industry," said the federation's chief executive, Ian Sutton. "It symbolises the meeting of technology, climate and soil diversity; is contemporary and bold, sophisticated yet friendly."The centre includes a cellar housing more than 32,000 bottles of Australian wine.
