AWBC launches online education initiative

Published:  23 July, 2008

The AWBC is to set up an online education programme on its website, aimed at both the trade and wine consumers.

The programme, entitled World Class', will be free of charge and should be up and running by next month (August). World Class is divided into six sections: grapes; wine; innovation; marketing; retail; and restaurants.

Each topic is presented in three levels of ascending detail, allowing users to decide how technical they want the information to be. Case studies are included within each section, as are an overview, a subsection entitled The Big Picture', and a summary. The programme also contains a presentation builder, which will enable users to customise the data they receive.

Paul Henry, AWBC general manager, market development, said: World Class highlights Australia's strength and point of difference, and it also seeks to engage all of our target audience across a single platform. I haven't seen anything like this done before.'
