Boë Gin reveals soaring sales

Published:  28 May, 2019

Independent Scottish gin producer Boë Gin has reported a huge increase in year-on-year sales and profits.

Total sales revenue for the Stirling-based producer soared from £1.1 million to £8.5 million in the full year to February 2019, according to figures filed with Companies House this month.

The company said that following UK listings in the on- and off-trade across its portfolio of full-strength gins and liqueurs, a hike in sales had contributed to an increase of more than £1.1 million in operating profits, compared to previous year.

“The success we’ve experienced this year is a huge achievement. We have expanded very rapidly from having a focus on Scotland, to Boë being enjoyed across the UK and beyond,” said company director Andrew Richardson.

“Though we may be a relatively small company, our ambitions are big, and we pride ourselves on our innovation. We’ve been at the forefront of flavoured gin in the UK and are also exporting Boë Violet and Boë Passion to Spain. There are many opportunities in the UK and internationally to grow the business much further.”

Led by Directors Andrew Richardson, Carlo Valente and Graham Coull, the Boë Gin range now totals six products; three gins comprising classic Scottish gin and two flavoured gins - Boë Passion and Boë Violet , plus three flavoured liqueurs; Peach and Hibiscus, Scottish Bramble and Spiced Orange.
