Bibendum-PLB takes trophy at annual Santa Rita Arsenal event

The annual Santa Rita 120 Arsenal Experience was won this year by a team from Bibendum-PLB.

The event took place at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium on 10 May. Eight teams from the UK, Irish, Dutch and Chilean on-trade, off-trade and media – as well as from Chilean wine producer Santa Rita’s UK and Irish distributors, Matthew Clark, Bibendum-PLB and Gilbey’s – competed in a five-a-side tournament.

Bibendum-PLB defeated Matthew Clark in the final.

Terry Pennington, commercial director for Santa Rita Estates, said: “The Arsenal partnership is a key element of a global marketing strategy for our Santa Rita 120 brand, which aims to promote the sale of wines in the Latin American, Asian, European and African markets.

The day also included a Q&A session with Arsenal player, Lee Dixon, a tour of the ground, and a tasting of Santa Rita wines at Raymond Blanc’s Diamond Club.

Clio Giudici from Bibendum-PLB won the woman of the match award, while Alex Layton from Decanter won goalie of the match.
