Final call for indies to submit wines for Everyday Bordeaux Selection 2018

Published:  19 February, 2018

The CIVB has issued a call out to all UK indie merchants to enter their favourite Bordeaux wines for judging in the annual Everyday Bordeaux Selection competition.

Each year, under the direction of Richard Bampfield MW, the Bordeaux generic promotional body brings together a panel of writers and educators to assess blind a cross section of whites, rosés, reds and cremants, in a free to enter event that looks to promote the best of Bordeaux on offer from the independent merchant sector.

Wines are selected for the Everyday Bordeaux according to strict criteria that includes being fully representative of their appellation, offering high quality for the price, retailing between £6 and £20 and being available throughout 2018.

Following the judging the featured selection of wines will be promoted via the Bordeaux Wines UK website, on social media, and via activities such as a three week pop up Bordeaux Butterfly Bar in June.

The deadline for submitting the wine details online is 21 February and samples need to arrive by 5 March.
