With seven trophies, nine golds, nine silvers, eight bronze and 13 commended, a total of 46 medals were awarded at the Harpers Design Awards 2016.
A panel of industry experts were given the unenviable task of judging some of the most innovative designs in the industry, considering not just aesthetics, but how well the design of each product had been tailored to the client's brief and its target market.
The great and the good shone through however, with Harpers editor Andrew Catchpole remarking that the trophy winners were awarded their top spots with almost unanimous decisions from the judges.
"The standard was high, with some stunning examples of enticing and engaging design, really lifting those products above the ordinary," Catchpole said.
The judging panel included Toby Wilson from MW Packaging and Phil Crozier of Gaucho and Cau restaurants.
Both agreed that the overall quality of design was high, with Crozier adding: "Design is incredibly important with drinks because that is what you buy first as you can't always sample what is in the bottle."
Isle of Harris Gin, designed by Stranger & Stranger, took the very top award and was unanimously crowned Supreme Champion.
