Thierry's boss Peter Darbyshire is running the London Marathon on 17 April for a South African charity that aims to help disadvantaged children with special educational needs and those whose lives are adversely affected by alcohol.
The Pebbles Project is based in the Western Cape region, focusing on the winelands around Somerset West and Stellenbosch, and provides particular support for children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. It is run by Thierry's SA representative Lucy Warner's sister, Sophia Warner, who has taught children with special needs in London and worked in schools for orphans in Romania.
This will be Darbyshire's third London Marathon and he is looking for sponsorship in aid of the Pebbles Project. Thierry's has been working with the charity for the past six months and the aim is to provide specialist educational support for the children, and to equip parents, carers and teachers with the tools to cope with these children and to help them develop.
