Bodegas y Viñedos Cordoníu Raventós has appointed Simon Bradbury as managing director of its UK business.
Bradbury has been in the wine trade for nearly thirty years, most recently as off-trade sales director at Enotria World Wine. Previous experience includes roles at Guy Anderson Wines and International Wine Services.
The managing director position has been vacant since the departure of Nick Mantella to United Wineries in May 2014.
Cordoníu previously announced the appointment of John Hearn, global commercial director at Diageo wine arm Percy Fox, in October last year. Hearn was unable to take the role, however.
David Losantos, European commercial director for Cordoníu Raventós, said: "Simon's appointment is part of our long-term plan to invest in and grow our UK business. He brings a wealth of experience to our UK operation.
"His hands-on approach and commitment to making things happen will be the driving force in helping us to strengthen our key brands."
Bradbury commented: "I am delighted to be joining Cordoníu Raventós at such an exciting time. I am passionate, not only about how we excite and inspire consumers to try Cordoníu at a time when Prosecco is dominating the sparkling wine category, but also about the opportunity to reach more consumers with our award-winning wine portfolio."
Cordoníu Raventós was founded in 1551. It has been in the Raventós family since 1659.
It has ten wineries, with more than 3,000ha of vineyards under management.
