Trivento, the Concha y Toro Argentinian wine brand, has signed the first wine sponsorship deal with Premiership Rugby which will see its wines promoted across all grounds and coverage during the 2014-2015 season.

The deal kicks off in September with the now traditional season opening London Double Header at Twickenham which this year features games between Harlequins, Saracens, Wasps and London Irish.

The one year relationship, which has the option of being extended for a further two seasons, will give Trivento the opportunity to not only promote itself at Premiership games, with bespoke stand advertising, but the link-up will also feature on special wine labels and designs on its key Trivento Malbec Reserve.

Clare Griffiths, marketing director of Concha y Toro UK said of the deal:  "We are incredibly excited about this powerful relationship. It will provide the brand with the perfect platform to communicate our adventurous spirit that is derived from the three winds that craft our award winning wines, and to drive category value sales in the UK."

Dominic Hayes, commercial director of Premiership Rugby said: "It is fantastic to be working with a great brand like Trivento for the 2014-15 season. Its commitment to delivering first class in-store activity is a brilliant way to drive the awareness of both Trivento and Aviva Premiership Rugby across the UK."

CYT hopes the deal will help build on its 2014 performance which saw a 200% increase in sales across total off-trade.
