Bacardi has launched a new advertising campaign celebrating its 150th anniversary as part of its £20m marketing spend for 2012.
The campaign will run across TV, press, digital and out-of-home advertising for the next few months and builds on the "it started with a party" theme. The first of three themed print adverts is "'It started with a what if" and the TV advert "Summer Trip" illustrates how a road trip with friends was an idea born out of a party.
Bacardi Brown-Forman brands marketing director, Liam Newton, said: "The campaign draws on the brand's 150 year history of bringing people together and the fact the best parties are those that don't end on the night, as the night is just the beginning. A great party leads to exciting possibilities, whether it be endless conversations on Facebook, making new friends, planning a holiday or even meeting your future partner. The new campaign explores this notion."
