The BII is making its Budget Calculator available to all licensees in a bid to help them re-price products in line with duty rises and supplier increases.
The new calculator will be offered to everyone in the licensed retail sector and not just BII members, as it was the previous year after the 2011 budget.
The calculator uses Microsoft Excel to easily re-price products following this week's duty increases.
Peter Thomas, chief executive officer of BII, said: "This is a time when the whole industry needs all the help and support we can give, so we are really pleased to be able to offer this to all those working in the industry."
Trevor Brown, the BII's business doctor and managing director of SureStock4bars, has created the calculator. Brown said: "It is a pleasure to be able to do something to help. I do hope that non-members using the workbook will take this opportunity to join BII and take advantage of the huge range of other benefits available."
The new workbook can be found on the BII's website www.bii.org/budget-calculator
