Wrong Bowes

Bogus buyer not Cambridge-based
The Paul Bowes referred to in last week's issue of Harpers regarding an alleged bogus buying operating in Scotland, is not Paul Bowes, the independent fine wine merchant in Cambridge operating as Bacchanalia. Paul Bowes of Victoria Road, Cambridge, has been trading for four years and has two shops in the Cambridge area. He also sells wholesale to hotels and colleges. The case referred to in our 10 November print issue and on the web involving Bowes has so far been confined to Scotland. We are sorry for Mr Bowes for any confusion or embarrassment caused.
