Finalists announced for Champagne Jacquart Rising Stars Trophy

Eight chef and sommelier teams have been chosen for the Grand Final of the Champagne Jacquart Rising Stars Trophy.

A number of talented young chefs and sommeliers entered the 4th edition of the competition, in which each team had to create a three course menu paired with different Jacquart Champagnes.

The panel of judges whittled the menus and matches down to the eight top entries, who will appear at the final which takes place at the Restaurant Show in London on October 10.

Each dish from their successful submission will be prepared and cooked live for the judging panel.

The winning pair will be crowned the Champagne Jacquart Rising Stars of 2011 and win a trip for four to visit Jacquart's landmark headquarters at the Hôtel de Brimont in Reims.

The finalists are:

Lisa Allen and Adam Pawlowski from Northcote, near Blackburn in Lancashire.

Niall Keating and Alexandre Hristov from The Bath Priory Hotel, Bath.

Arnaud Delannay (Plateau) and Virgile Degrez (Pont de la Tour) both D&D restaurants, London.

Lindsay Mackay and Tobias Wetzler from The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle, Scotland.

Lauren Philpin and Leandro Fenili from The Sloane Club, London SW1.

Jack Stein and Kit Clancey from The Seafood Restaurant, Padstow.

Grant Sherry and Douglas Kinnaird from The Grill Room at The Square, Glasgow.

Matthew Mawtus and Leonid Semakin from1 Lombard Street, London EC3.
