Gondola teams up with toptable in wine promotion

Online wine retailer Gondola has teamed up with toptable.com, the restaurant review and booking website, to promote exclusive cases of wine.

The four mixed cases will be offered via toptable's website, newsletter and in its confirmation emails to its users.

From September Gondola and toptable are launching an online food and wine matching programme, showcasing some top restaurants, and focusing on different cuisines and themes each month. 

Videos will be hosted on a Gondola-branded microsite, and sent out to toptable's 500,000 email database, as well as being hosted on the Gondola website and marketed online.

Gondola chief Angela Mount said:  "The wine industry is constantly looking for more direct ways of engaging the consumer and providing information and education about wine and food. The video content provides a unique platform for this, and demonstrates the ease and immediacy of using online partnerships to bring a little bit more wine knowledge to the consumer.

"This will give our wine partners the opportunity to showcase their wines, and for us to work with some of the country's great restaurants."
