New wine buyer for Sainsbury's

Published:  15 July, 2010

Sainsbury's has appointed Spar wine trading manager Dror Nativ to the position of buyer for Australia, New Zealand and wine formats.

Dror will join the supermarket on August 30 and brings the number of external buyers joining the wine team to three.

He replaces Daniel Bracegirdle who has been promoted internally to a buying role within the fresh meat category.

Category Manager Justin James said: "Dror is the latest recruit to our team, following Julie Buckley from Oddbins and David Peek from Waverley. It is great to have someone of Dror's calibre, he has a wealth of trading experience."

"The arrival of David, Julie and Dror will put us in a great place to continue with the evolution of our wine plans; each has worked in different areas of the drinks industry and will be able to contribute a fresh perspective and build on the ideas of the existing core team of Julian Dyer and Michelle Smith."
