Jaboulet Aine quits Rhone producer
Paul Jaboulet Aine, the leading Rhone producer, has announced that export director Nicolas Jaboulet has left the company to pursue a "personal project".
Nicolas, one of the Jaboulet family members who remained with the company after it was sold to the Frey family in January 2006, had been instrumental in implementing changes to the Jaboulet importer network in the past three years.
General manager Frederic Mairesse said: "Nicolas has worked at Jaboulet for 12 years, and has done an excellent job for the company in the export markets. We are in a strong position today thanks to the work he put in.
"A great deal of his time was spent in the UK market, where we will miss his input. However, we are confident that Liberty Wines are building upon the strong base established by Nicolas and are taking Jaboulet from strength to strength in this key market."
