John Smith retires from PLB

PLB's managing director retires having been with company since its launch.

John Smith, who has been with PLB since its inception in 1982, has seen the company grow from a small own-label sherry supplier to the largest independent, family-owned wine importer/ distributor in the UK, selling six million cases a year, and with a turnver of around 70 million.

Smith has worked with founder and chairman of PLB, Jeffrey Fredericks for over 35 years.

PLB has a series of events and activities planned to mark its Silver anniversary.
