Diageo has promoted Richard Larkin to head of its Reserve GB arm.
Larkin, who has taken over from Nick Temperley, is in his new role overseeing a team of 40 people with his responsibilities covering marketing, digital and sales channels across the country.
Previous to his new appointment, Larkin’s role involved spearheading key GB trade channels strengthening the status of the portfolio of ‘super premium’ brands comprising Ketel One Vodka, Ron Zacapa and Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
With consumer demand for quality liquids and experiences continuing to grow, it was “a really interesting time” to take on the role, said Larkin, who joined Diageo Reserve 16 years ago.
“Having worked with Diageo Reserve for many years, I have seen the super-premium spirits category thrive and the team has done a fantastic job to date - it’s an exciting prospect for me to be able to help continue to build on this success,” he said.
A number of “innovative campaigns” for Diageo Reserve was in the pipeline, he added.
Welcoming Larkin to his new position, Diageo Reserve said: “Richard holds a wealth of experience across the Diageo Reserve portfolio of luxury spirits and has comprehensive knowledge of leading key GB trade channels for the business.”
