A new wine school co-founded by Hayley Reynolds DipWSET is set to launch in the South West with the support of a trio of the region’s well known wine experts.
Officially launching at the Dartmouth Food Festival next weekend, the South West Wine School will start offering WSET Level 1 and 2 courses at Kenton Park Estate in Devon from the beginning of next year, alongside additional courses and tastings.
Supported by Susy Atkins, Liam Steevenson MW and Rebecca Mitchell DipWSET, who will share their knowledge with future students, the venture has been designed to make learning about wine “fun and enjoyable for enthusiasts of all levels”, said co-founder Reynolds, who set up the business with her partner Jonathan – both have spent the past 20 years associated with the wine industry.
“South West Wine School will offer an exciting range of events and courses, whether you’d like to learn about wine one-to-one, as part of a group, to gain a professional WSET qualification or as an innovative corporate activity,” said Reynolds.
The launch at Dartmouth Food Festival will be followed by a ‘Wise up on Wine’ Christmas in December after which a Valentine’s Day ‘Speed Tasting’ and ‘First of the Summer Wine’ evening events have been planned.
A series of shorter, fun and informal tastings will also take place regularly throughout the South West region with local wine experts and winemakers.
