MHW expands to quench thirst for US craft products in Europe

US importer and service provider MHW has launched a European platform in a bid to open up the market to American wine, beer, cider and spirits looking to realize their export goals.

Effective immediately, the company now offers US and international beverage alcohol companies a model to build their export business to Europe, with other world regions to follow.

Operating through a logistics hub in the Netherlands with additional expertise in the UK and turnkey back-office support from over 100 professionals based in New York, services offered by the MHW European platform include compliance and European legislation consulting, customer service, operations support and accounting.

The expansion reflected a growing demand for US craft products in Europe, said MHW.

“Our new platform enables us to serve this demand with a depth of distribution and reach that has been previously unavailable to producers without substantial investment,” said president John Beaudette.

The company’s goal was to become a trusted advisor for brands looking to enter European markets by “leveraging the practices that have driven decades of success in the US”, he added.

As part of its global expansion, MHW announced that craft spirits leader, Templeton Rye, would be the first major brand distributed to European markets through its new service platform.

With licenses in all 50 states, MHW works with suppliers in over 80 countries, providing operations, logistics, compliance, sales distribution, marketing and new brand development for its clients.
