Hallgarten has recruited a second business development director as part of its ongoing drive to grow the business.
New appointee Francois Lincoln joins HDN from Las Bodegas, where he was sales director, having previously worked as head of London sales at Liberty Wines.
Lincoln will work in tandem with fellow business development director Joe Wadhams, who joined the company last year.
“Hallgarten has, without a doubt, created one of the most interesting and diverse premium portfolios in the market. I'm delighted to have been offered the opportunity to develop business with such an exciting range,” said Lincoln.
In a statement issued on 16 August, the company said it has already opened “significant” amounts of business so far in 2018, with further growth predicted for the latter half of the year.
Hallgarten’s managing director Andrew Bewes added: “We are delighted to welcome Francois to our sales management team, his breadth and depth of experience will be fundamental to driving our business growth targets in the second half of 2018 and beyond.
“The appointment will significantly help to deliver our long-term goals and to further reinforce our commitment to delivering unparalleled levels of service and partnership to our customers across all sectors of the trade.”
Hallgarten won IWC Merchant Wine List of the Year at this year’s event in recognition of its commitment to sourcing innovative and inspiring wines.
