The proposed partnership deal between C&C Group and AB Inbev to save Matthew Clark and Bibendum from insolvency has been completed.
Magners owner C&C Group announced at 3.15pm this afternoon (April 4) that the acquisition has now been green-lit in accordance with the terms set out in the initial statement released this morning.
C&C, which distributes a number of branded beer, cider, wine, and soft drinks brands bought 100% of the issued share capital of ‘Matthew Clark Bibendum’ of which it now fully owns, for a nominal sum.
However, C&C have agreed to pay £102m to Conviviality’s lenders over the next year.
