Up and coming drinks e-tailer 31Dover has a new CEO.
The company welcomes former Naked Wines UK marketing director James Bagley into the role, bringing with him experience from also working on Naked Wines’ US website where he was vice president of sales and marketing.
Bagely becomes CEO of 31Dover and also Vanquish Operations, a London-based supplier to the on-trade recently acquired by the parent group DMD Ventures.
31Dover launched three years ago by David Elghanayan and Jimmy Metta, and since then has grown its presence in the consumer e-commerce market.
The company puts this year’s forecasted revenue at £15m – a 100% rise on last year.
Bagely will be tasked with keeping up growth momentum for both the online retail platform and on-trade business, including Vanquish, which specialises in spirits and Champagne.
‘Fresh from his experience at Naked Wines UK and USA, James brings significant marketing skill at driving loyalty and retention, growing and scaling businesses, and building and maintaining an entrepreneurial and customer-centric culture,” Elghanayan said.
“Coming from a ‘test and learn’ background at Naked, James’ unique experience and compelling style adds significant capability to the company as we prepare to scale for growth.”
