Craft beer darling BrewDog has revealed turnover of £72 million in 2016.
This was a rise of 60% for the independent Scottish brewer, which also saw their total UK sales increase by 97% over the same period.
Brewdog’s growth has been significant since the company was founded by Martin Dickie and James Watt in 2007.
Ten years later, they now have more than 500 employees and 32 branded BrewDog bars in the UK and overseas.
Their flagship beer, Punk IPA, remained the most sold craft beer in the UK last year with sales increasing by 130% (Nielsen figures).
BrewDog’s Dead Pony Club also grew by 157% to become the third most sold craft beer in the UK (also Nielsen).
This year also marked the launch of their firsts spirits via the launch of sister brand, LoneWolf.
In April, two inaugural releases were revealed: a vodka and a gin, which are both produced all under one roof at the brewer’s recently expand distillery in Ellon, Aberdeenshire.
