Mouton Cadet returns for 25th year at Cannes Film Festival

Published:  14 April, 2016

Mouton Cadet Wine Bar will be celebrating a landmark year when it re-opens its exclusive annual wine bar at Cannes International Film Festival next month.

The wine brand is celebrating its 25th anniversary as the official wine supplier to the star-studded event, which runs from 11 to 22 May this year.

To celebrate the milestone, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA has asked Parisian designer Mathias Kiss to revamp its usual spot on the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals along the world-famous Boulevard de la Croisette.

Once again, a new limited edition collector bottle will be available, this year around "The French Art of Living" theme.

The Blanc and the Rose are 2015 vintage and the Rouge is 2014 vintage.

They will be served during many of the festival's official dinners and distributed in selected countries internationally.

Speaking about the upcoming project, Mathias Kiss said: "I am very enthusiastic about this project. It has been essential for me to perpetuate decorative codes and practices, in order to create a comfortable, yet glamourous nest, where architectural rigor connects with sweetness of life."

Produced by the family-owned French company Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet was created in 1930 and has become one of the world's leading brand of Bordeaux AOC wines.

It has been associated with the Cannes International Film Festival since 1992 and is now involved in golf as official supplier to the European Tour and to the 2016 and 2018 Ryder Cups.
