Searcys St Pancras celebrates Christmas with Cocoflake hybrid

Published:  17 December, 2015

The Searcys Champagne Bar at St Pancras has created a dessert-aperitif hybrid for Christmas shoppers and commuters.

The Cocoflake uses St Pancras' Godiva chocolate-infused Bourbon, chocolate liqueur, espresso and cream, garnished with white chocolate shavings to look like snowflakes.

Elton Keka, general manager at Searcys St Pancras, said: "I love celebrating the Christmas season with delicious food and drink.

"My enjoyment in taking classic drinks and using a seasonal 'twist' to make them extra special has been sparked this year by the wonderful snow fall in the station and the elegant dessert menu in our restaurant.

"What we are offing commuters in the station this year is the chance to start their celebrations with an indulgent treat perfect for washing away those winter blues."

Matthew Fort, food curator at St Pancras International said: "The Cocoflake is a splendid invention for just this time of year, whether you need it to brace yourself before Christmas shopping, keeping you going while you're shopping or as a reward afterwards.

"It's a soul-warming mix of chocolate, bourbon and expresso. What is Christmas about if it isn't pleasure, fun and indulgence?"

The Cocoflake is available to order exclusively at Searcys St Pancras and retails at £8 a serve.
