Wray & Nephew rum ends the summer in Jamaican party mood

Published:  20 August, 2015

Wray & Nephew Overproof rum is hosting Jamaican themed events over the last two weekends of the summer to raise awareness of the brand among consumers.

Jamaica Rum Tings events will take place in Leeds this weekend and in King's Cross, north London, on August 29. The latter is a warm-up for the capital's Notting Hill Carnival.

The parties will feature Jamaican music from the likes of Daddy G of Massive Attack, drum and bass DJ Fabio and reggae/punk legend Don Letts.

Other features include a Wray & Nephew jerk barbecue, a live graffiti wall and a rum free pouring challenge.

There will also be a Reggae Rum Punch Relay Race, in which teams of four will be asked to make a rum punch quicker than the time it takes the Jamaica men's relay team to run the 4x100 metres.

Tickets cost £5, or £4 for early birds, from ticketweb.co.uk, residentadvisor.net or skiddle.com.
