Published:  29 July, 2015

Russian Standard Vodka has been confirmed as an official partner of the annual Edinburgh International Festival for the first time.

It will be the sole participant from the drinks industry among the 22 festival partners this year.

The brand's activities will centre on the The Hub, the festival's central venue. Visitors to The Hub will be able to sample complimentary Russian Mule cocktails at a series of outdoor events.

It will also be supporting nine late-night music events which will be branded as the Russian Standard Vodka Hub Sessions. Artists celebrated range from legendary jazz pianist Fats Waller to American indie singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens.

Russian Standard Vodka will also have exclusive sponsorship of the Franz Ferdinand concert with Sparks, which takes place at the Festival Theatre on 24 August.

The brand was launched in 1998. It is the leading premium vodka in Russia, where it has a 40% market share, and is now available in over 80 countries worldwide.
