Contract bottling firm Encirc Beverages has appointed John Hawkins as its new general manager to oversee operations and develop customer relations at its Elton plant in Cheshire.
Contract bottling firm Encirc Beverages has appointed John Hawkins as its new general manager to oversee operations and develop customer relations at its Elton plant in Cheshire.
Last month Encirc - the former Quinn Glass and Cobevco business which rebranded last year - was bought by Spanish bottle manufacturer Vidrala in a deal worth around €400 million.
Hawkins has more than 20 years' experience in the drinks industry, most recently from pan-European soft drinks manufacturer, Refresco Gerber, where he spent six years as contract manufacturing director.
Hawkins said: "Encirc is a successful business with a long-standing reputation for delivering high quality bottling products and solutions. Beverages is a key part of Encirc's unique proposition and adds significant value to the offering.
"The facilities at Elton are world class and I'm looking forward to working with the team as we continue to develop these and realise even greater achievements in the future."

Encirc Beverages bottles four million litres of bulk imported wine, beer, cider, soft drinks and spirits every week at its Elton facility.The group employs more than 1,200 people at its plants in Elton and Derrylin, Co Fermanagh.
As part of the Encirc group of companies, the group also offers glass, bottling and logistics services.
