The UK agency Connoisseur Estates is to represent Sicilian certified organic wine producer, Marabino Wines.
The range is being imported into the UK for the first time and is available to independent retailers, wholesalers and the on-trade.
Based in South Eastern Sicily, the The Val di Noto winery aims for a meticulous and appropriately scientific approach to winemaking.
Its 35-hectare vineyard is planted mainly with varietals native to the region including 40 year old Nero d'Avola vines, which are used in; Noto Nero d'Avola 2010 (rrp, £15.99) and the reserve level Archimede 2009 (rrp £26.99). There is an un-oaked Chardonnay (rrp £15.99) and an appassimento dessert wine; Moscato della Torre (rrp, £22.99) to complete the range.
Connoisseur Estates director Andrew Steel said: "We are delighted to be distributing the exceptional wines from this fantastic Sicilian winery. Adding an organic wine from such an exciting viticultural region to our range is timely given current trends in the UK and we believe that Marabino has a long and prosperous future with our company."
