Grand Union expands executive management team

London-based bar operator Grand Union, has appointed a new executive management team, ahead of plans to open at least three sites in 2012.

The move comes on the back of the opening of its two central London sites in Farringdon and Paddington.

Adam Marshall, managing director and co owner will be joined by Tim Yates, Marc Rust and Anna Murashka who all start with the firm in January 2012, with Adam Saword co owner stepping down as co director.



Yates who will become finance director joins from Real Pubs where he was the finance director in charge of heading the acquisition of Real Pubs by Greene King for  £53m in April 2011. he has worked in the hospitality industry for fifteen years having qualified as an accountant in 1994.



Rust joins as operations director, from Jamie's Italian, where he was head of London operations.


Murashka has ben appointed as group sales and events manager to head its corporate and pro-active sales department.

She has previously spent six years at Novus leisure, working in a number of their high capacity Central London venues.

Grand Union was included in the 2011 Sunday Times Fast Track 100 of the fastest growing independent companies in the UK for the second consecutive year.



It is an independent group of 10 venues situated in some of London's most popular areas for dining and drinking. Each venue is thoughtfully designed, with an eclectic mix of contemporary and vintage decor.
