Published:  15 December, 2011

London City Bond has shaken up its senior management team with the departure of non-executive chairman Jeff Stanton.

LCB, the dedicated wine and spirits logistics provider, said Stanton, who has been with the company since 2007, has left to pursue other interests.

Alf Allington, managing director of LCB, said: "Jeff has been with London City Bond for over four years during a time of exceptional growth for the company.

"He has assisted the business in implementing its strategy of becoming the largest dedicated bonded drinks warehousing and distribution company in the UK and I would personally like to thank him for all his efforts during this exciting period."

LCB has made changes to its management team by appointing two new general managers at its Tilbury and Barking depots.

Michael Stone, who has been with the business for 11 years, has been promoted from commercial manager to general manager at Tilbury, while Hugo Wymer, formerly at EHD, will take up same role at Barking.

Allington added: "Both of the new appointments have significant experience in the wine and spirits logistics business and both will have a remit to continuously improve our service levels in line with our growth strategy."
