Kingsland Wines and Spirits has announced a new partnership with South African winery, Rickety Bridge, based in Franschhoek.
The range will include a Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, Pinotage and a Rhône style blend available from June through Kingsland's Independent Division as an additional offering to its growing portfolio of on-trade brands.
In addition, Kingsland will also be working with the Rickety Bridge team to develop other ranges and wine styles for the UK market.
Kingsland's wine director, Karen Wilson, said: "South Africa remains a key market for the UK wine trade and we were keen to work with a winery that has the capability to provide a range of high quality wines with provenance.
"The Rickety Bridge portfolio gives us the strength and depth to meet the specific needs of our growing customer base, particularly across the on-trade, and we are very much looking forward to working with them in the UK and Ireland."
The winemaker is Wynand Grobler, who Kingsland say is responsible for producing some of the most interesting and innovative wines to be found in South Africa.
