William Grant & Sons has snapped up the French brandy company Raynal & Cie, thus adding the Three Barrels and Raynal brands to its portfolio.
Deputy group MD Tony Hunt said: The Three Barrels and Raynal brands have, for some years now, been owned by financial institutions, and we believe that they will acquire greater value in the ownership of William Grant & Sons,
given that our family-owned company has been building international spirits brands for more than 100 years.'
The global volume for Three Barrels and Raynal is more than 530,000 cases, and its new owners are confident that both have considerable growth potential'.
William Grant's portfolio also includes brands such as Hendrick's Gin, Monkey Shoulder whisky, and Reyka, the first Icelandic vodka.
