The winners of the first UK Wine Awards was announced today with Coates & Seely taking the top gong.

The Hampshire-based winery was awarded the ‘Supreme Champion’ medal for its La Perfide Blanc de Blancs 2009 at the new UK Wine Awards competition, which was launched earlier this year by the UK wine industry in association with Hotel du Vin, Country Life and Waitrose.
