Wine and Cognac importer Louis Latour has made two new managerial appointments in London and the North.

As of today, (March 13), Stuart Birtles become regional sales manager for the North of England and Scotland.

Not far behind is Lucy Stewart, who will step into the role of prestige account manager for London next month. 

Birtles has 30 years' experience in the wine trade, having worked as national account manager at Brown Brothers Wines (Europe), and more recently at Laurent Perrier UK where he worked as regional account manager presiding over a similar geographical area.

Stewart began her career at Mentzendorff as regional account manager, before moving to BI (formerly Bordeaux Index) where she worked in several roles.

She will join the agency's London team on April 18 as maternity cover for Sophie Cruise, covering their prestige brands. 

Louis Latour Agencies is known for importing family-owned wines and cognacs from France, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Chile.

Based in the UK, it imports wines of its parent company, Burgundy producer and negociant Maison Louis Latour, as well those of Henry Fessy, Simonnet-Febvre, Champagne Gosset, Cognac Frapin, Vidal Fleury, Michel Redde et Fils in France, Viu Manent in Chile, McHenry Hohnen and Wakefield in Australia, Seresin and MOMO in New Zealand.
