International Wine Challenge now has an app for iPhone and Android

Published:  25 September, 2015

The International Wine Challenge has launched an app to showcase more than 10,000 wines and sakés entered into the 2015 competition.

The app allows users to search for wines by producer, grape, region, medal score or stockist, with tasting notes for medal winners. Choices can be shared by email, Facebook and Twitter.

Big winners from this year's competition also have video tasting notes.

The app was created for competition organiser William Reed Business Media by Appetise.co.uk and connects to wine-searcher.com.

It is available for iPhone and Android.

Charles Metcalfe, co-chairman of the International Wine Challenge, said: "The International Wine Challenge is committed to helping consumers find great wines and brilliant value.

"This app is the first step in that journey. We know people really want to learn more and feel more confident in the wine aisle.

"Whether you want to check out a new Chardonnay, try wines from an unfamiliar region, or hunt down the best buys at your local supermarket, the app is here to help.

"All of the medal winners from this year's competition have been tasted and judged by some of the best wine judges from around the world, so shoppers can buy medal winners with confidence.

"This new app is here to make it easier to buy brilliant wines every time you shop."
