Dom Pérignon launches Rosé 2003 in collaboration with artist Jeff Koons

Published:  30 July, 2013

Dom Pérignon will be launching its Rosé 2003 vintage, collaborating with Jeff Koons who designed a made-to-order Dom Pérignon Balloon Venus case.

The commissioned cases will be available for a year and will retail for a pretty penny, with an rrp of €15,000. Should the case be too expensive, the vintage rosé will be available for £340 at Selfridges.

The 2003 vintage was a challenging year for producers which faced late frost and the hottest summer in 53 years, forcing Dom Pérginon to have the earliest harvest since 1882.

Richard Geoffroy, Dom Pérignon chef de cave, said: "It was one of the most memorable ever. The vintage of superlatives and extremes, it was exhilarating to make."
