Published:  10 January, 2014

Old-school City high-rollers may never have imagined a time when fine-wine investments would become a common investment vehicle and wines would be traded in the same fashion as high-yield stocks and bonds. My Choice: Julian Dyer, Australian Vintage UK and Europe

Published:  17 May, 2013

I'm a great fan of Hunter Valley Chardonnay and Shiraz. The better recognised wine regions of South Australia and Victoria (Barossa, McLaren Vale, Clare, Yarra, etc) quite rightly get a lot of accolades; however, I love the punchy Chardonnay and earthy Shiraz you get from the Hunter.

My Choice: Elinor Zuke, news editor, Harpers

My Choice: Becca Reeves, former senior buyer, Laithwaite's

Published:  15 February, 2013

My current top wine is Domaine Jones Fitou. It's lovely, rich and warming at this time of year but not at all heavy so very easy to drink. Despite its "classic" match with meat, I'm vegetarian so I've been drinking it with loads of winter veggie dishes, and it goes brilliantly. I'm also a bit of a fan of opening a mid-week bottle of Crémant de Limoux.
