Chilcas Estate has rejoined the Bibendum portfolio following a relaunch of the brand by owners VIA.
Changes include a new winemaking team and the creation of a new range of single vineyard wines.
Its approach is to nurture individual parcels and vineyards to create wines with individual character and personality that are different from generic, branded wines to come out of Chile at similar price points.
Iain Muggoch, Bibendum buying director for the Southern Hemisphere said: "Chilcas has wrongly been seen as just another label from a big business rather than an actual wine estate.
"It was the rethinking behind the origin and quality of this range that made me fall back in love with it.
The estate has a strong sustainablity programme and is based in Maule, an area which has received a lot of attention due to its old, ungrafted vines.
Bibendum will be importing four levels of wines from Chilcas Estate: Seleccionados Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 and Carmenere 2010 (rrp £6.49), four single varietal Reserva wines (rrp £7.49), certified organic Sauvignon Blanc 2010 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 (rrp £7.99) and four single vineyard varietal wines from Maule, Colchagua and Casablanca (rrp£8.99).
