Carling is offering pubs the chance to create their own websites for free.

The Carling Beerfinder, which the brewing giant says attracts 500,000 visitors per month, is an online beer and bar guide which pubs can use to create their own website in 10 steps.

Licensees can advertise their business and market their events. A series of templates are on offer including Gastro, Sports, Traditional, Music and Contemporary.

Director of customer marketing, Andy Cray, said: "This service will always be free to pubs that join Beerfinder, we've made that commitment because our main aim is to support the great British pub and help them to attract more customers, even if they don't sell our beer. It's easy to set up, all pubs have to do is register and enter their details and we will do the rest.

"Once registered, they will be given a confidential user name and password which will allow them to keep their pub details up to date and promote forthcoming events and special offers through the website".

In the future, Carling Beerfinder is looking to include the launch of a dedicated bar staff training module, downloadable pub quizzes and the chance for licensees to register their pub football teams and win new football kits.
