Armit boosts team with two key appointments

Armit Wines has appointed a new sales & marketing director alongside a key account & brand manager.

With effect from next week, Susan Harper takes on the position of sales & marketing manager while Nicolas Clers MS takes up the key account & brand manager role.

Prior to joining Armit, Harper was sales & marketing director at Bancroft Wines, having previously held director level positions at Hallgarten Druit and Swig Wines.

Clerc MS, who is a member at the Court of master Sommelier Europe and the president of the sommelier arm of the Academy of Food and Wine Service in the UK, joins from Berry Bros & Rudd where he was prestige account manager for Fields, Morris & Verdin.

Welcoming the new members of the team, managing director Kirsten Kilby, said: “Susan brings with her vast experience in sales and commercial roles and I know she will ably lead our talented sales and marketing teams in pursuit of our strategic goals and objectives.

“We are continuously looking to increase our market share in London restaurants, and so are very pleased to have Nicolas coming onboard to further strengthen our London restaurant sales team. Not only is Nicolas a Master Sommelier, but he also has over 17 years of experience in the restaurant and wine trade and I believe his passion and expertise will be a great asset to Armit.”

Armit Wines represent a global roll call of wine estates in the UK including Gaja, Ornellaia, Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia), Tua Rita, Romano Dal Forno, Fattoria Le Pupille, Querciabella and Bruno Giacosa in Italy as well as established icons of the fine wine world such as Château Lafleur, Diamond Creek, Domaine Huet and La Rioja Alta SA.
