The Wine & Spirit Trade Association's annual conference will focus on the role branding, innovation and digital communications play in engaging with consumers in today's wine and spirits world.

The conference, which takes place from 2pm on Wednesday September 17 at One Great George Street, Westminster, focuses on 'new opportunities in traditional industries'.

A major key note speaker from outside the trade will address the conference, and there will be a panel discussion with industry and non-industry experts. This discussion will be chaired by Simon Jack, the BBC Radio 4 Today programme's business editor.  More details about speakers will be released in coming weeks.

The conference will be chaired by WSTA chairman, Nick Hyde and will include a key note address from WSTA chief executive, Miles Beale. Beale won Harpers' Special Achievement award earlier this year for the leadership he showed in driving the Call Time on Duty campaign which resulted in the duty escalator on wine and spirits being scrapped in the 2014 Budget.

The conference opens with coffee from 2.00pm with the conference starting at 2.30pm.  The event concludes with a drinks reception that will run from 5:30pm - 8pm.
