The acclaimed film director and winemaker Francis Ford Coppola will speak at November's WineFuture Conference in Hong Kong, joining Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson MW and James Suckling, among others on the podium.

Coppola will talk aboutreturning his Rubicon Estate in Rutherford, Napa Valley to its historic name of Inglenook and overall aim of restoring the winery to one of America's greatest wine estates.

Coppola will join top wine personalities including Gary Vaynerchuk, Jeannie Cho Lee, Michel Rolland, Miguel Torres, Steven Spurrier and Lisa Perotti Brown at the event, which takes place from November 6 to 8.

Rubicon Estate will also be one of the exhibitors at AsiaWorld Expo in Hong Kong. The 1,600-acre Rubicon Estate was founded as Inglenook in 1880 by Captain Gustave Niebaum in Rutherford. Today, in addition to the dominant Cabernet Sauvignon grape, Rubicon is also planted with Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, and six acres of white Rhone varietals.

Coppola's involvement in the wine industry dates back to 1975 when he first purchased part of the Inglenook property.

WineFuture Hong Kong is an event organised by the Wine Academy of Spain.
